Cool Stuff I've Done in the Last 30 Years I spent most of my 20s in school. Got a B.S. from Cal Poly and a Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara.

I spent most of my 30s getting established in San Diego. Became known as an authority on the local economy. Also became a political and feminist activist.

I've spent most of my 40s so far establishing a family. I turned 40, got married, and my wife had a daughter, all in a 13-month period. I had a trans-Pacific marriage for a while, as my wife and daughter lived in Hong Kong most of the year. This ended with the birth of our son, as it was not possible to continue the arrangement with two children.  Now we're all together and things are going well.

It's been a good five years since the last reunion.  Our son Mark was born in 2002 (one of many Class of 1975 births in the last five years), and my wife and daughter moved back from Hong Kong.  My daughter started school, which opened up a new chapter in the parenthood saga.  Things continue to go well on the job and with my involvement in the community.
