Stephanie and I found ourselves in Cambria a couple of Sundays after the reunion, and went looking for Ben's grave. First we walked up the hill from downtown to the Santa Rosa cemetery. It's an old catholic cemetery used by the Swiss-Italian pioneer families of the area. After saying hello to lots of Camozzis, Dutras, Righettis, etc., and wondering what the heck Ben would be doing there, (not a Rosemary bush in sight, Marcee) we finally figured out that there is another cemetery in town.

Man, what an incredibly beautiful place for Ben. So simple and roughly beautiful compared to the acres of manicured grass at the typical cemeteries I've seen or visited. Just a perfect place for a coastal Californian. In fact, I'm thinking that when the time comes, I just might like to go hang out with ol' Ben....

But not until we've enjoyed at least another dozen or so reunions!
